Pho Pasteur (not to be confused with another chain of restaurants by the same
name), Le’s serves delicious and affordable Vietnamese food in a casual
setting. There are plenty of
vegetarian dishes to chose from, many of them vegan. Located in the Atrium Mall, this place is

Big Fresh Café Tel: 508-879-7000 Website: n/a Hours: 11am-9pm, 7 days My Rating: ***1/2 Review: You might not
expect to find decent vegan options in a strip mall that also houses a
Walmart and a McDonalds. However, the
Big Fresh Café offers up healthy, organic cuisine that is very vegan
friendly. Diners here can choose from
a variety of wraps, salads, stir-fries, and falafel dishes. At over $7 a pop, the falafel wrap seems
pretty pricy, but the falafel in pita is more reasonably priced (and still a
generous size). All of the stir-fries
sound amazing, and give you’re the choice of chicken, fish, or tofu. Order at the counter and lounge in one of
their booths, or get your food to go.
If all-natural juice doesn’t float your boat, organic wine is also
served by the glass. Catering services
are also available. Café Bagel Tel: 508-820-1200 Website: n/a Hours: My Rating: **** Review: What vegan

strip mall, across from a Walmart and a McDonalds (next door to Big Fresh
Café), this casual Indian restaurant serves mediocre fare for an inflated
price. There are a decent number of
vegan options which aren’t half bad, however the quality of the food and the
atmosphere of the restaurant don’t really justify the $10+ price tag on
entrees. A lunch buffet is served
daily from 11:30am-3pm. Click

end of a strip mall right next to Bertucci’s Brick Oven Pizza, this Thai
restaurant is a breath of fresh air.
It looks tiny from the outside, but inside opens up reveal a charming
plant filled oasis. The vegan options
aren’t numerous, but include Vegetable Curry, Tofu Vegetable Soup, and Tofu

the prices quite reasonable. While I
wasn’t wowed by the cuisine, I love

restaurant serves up a decent Chinese-American menu that has about a dozen
vegetarian/vegan friendly items scattered throughout the menu. I found the veggies to be a bit overcooked,
but overall pretty palatable. Fast,

crowded at lunch (lots of office buildings nearby), and on weekends. Takeout and delivery are offered. Masala Art Tel: 781-449-4050 Website: www.masala-art.com Hours: 11:30am-10pm, 7

This place is casual enough for an ordinary night out, but nice enough

selection of vegetarian entrees, but as with all Thai food, beware of the
oyster sauce. Take out is

serves your typical diner food, ice cream, and frozen yogurt. They also serve a non-dairy ice cream. While the non-dairy options are pretty slim
compared to the 70+ flavors of their homemade ice cream, it can be
substituted in any of their sundaes or other ice cream creations. They also serve a Veggie Stir-Fry which I’ve never tried (but it sounds yummy) and a few wraps that can be
made vegan (just say “no cheese”). Coconut Café Tel:

plenty of veg*n friendly options that will fill your belly throughout the
day. Start the day off with a
bagel. For lunch or dinner, try one of
their vegetarian wraps (without the cheese) or their Farmer’s Carrot Broccoli
soup. Vegetarian stir-fries are also on
the menu, providing even more vegan friendly options. All of their vegetarian options are clearly
marked, making it easy to figure out what you can eat. Sadly, the Asian Noodle dishes aren’t
marked as vegetarian, although I have no idea why (maybe they use fish paste
in the sauce?), and they no longer have non-dairy smoothies. While I don’t
usually jump at the chance to eat at a chain, Fresh City is conveniently
located at 6 rest stops on the Mass Pike (Charlton West, Charlton East,
Framingham, Lee East, North Andover, and Westborough), and at Boston’s Logan
Airport (Terminal A), making even the most difficult spots vegan
friendly. Corporate catering is
available from most locations. The

mostly likely pull me through their doors again in the future. Take-out service is available. Johnny’s
