is his least favorite Indian restaurant ever, and I think I agree. This Indian restaurant’s motto is “Not
Fast Food, It’s Gourmet Food Fast”, however there’s no disguising that this
is place is really and truly a fast food joint. The precooked cooked meals are served in a
cafeteria style setting, with takeout service playing a big role in their day
to day business. This Coolidge Corner
restaurant offers food on the cheap, and I guess you get what you pay
for…greasy, blah food. They have two

restaurant has a small vegetarian section on their menu, which contains that
standard vegan options. The lack of
variety here can be excused by the quality of the food, the pleasant casual
atmosphere, and the friendly service.
Catering is available.

Located near Coolidge Corner, Kao Sarn
serves up authentic Thai food in an upscale setting, for a moderate
price. Of the seven “Vegetable &
Tofu” dishes listed on their menu, four say that they are served with oyster
sauce. My waitress asked if I was a
vegetarian, and if fish sauce was acceptable to me (No!), so make sure you
let your server know that you would like a totally vegetarian sauce, otherwise
you might end up eating something with fish stock in it. The tofu soup is served in chicken broth,
but can be made with vegetable broth upon request. They also serve several vegetable curries
that look delicious, but are a little pricier than some of the other
entrees. All in all, this place is
pretty accommodating, and doesn’t give you dirty looks when you ask
questions. The atmosphere is pleasant,
and prefect for a nice night out. Click here to see their menu online at

place has several vegan options on the sushi menu, as well as a few
appetizers. Sadly, many of the other
items on the menu contain fish broth (the noodle dishes, miso
soup), and the house sauce contains mayonnaise. If you are unsure about anything, just ask
the server – they’re friendly.
Take-out and delivery are offered, but there’s plenty of seating if
you prefer to dine in. Can get pretty
crowded on the weekends. Click here to see their menu online at

Rating: **** Review: Located at the former site of Buddha’s
Delight Too, My Thai Vegetarian Bistro serves a suspiciously similar menu to
that of its predecessor. You can still
order those greasy breaded “chicken fingers” along with an assortment of faux
meat and vermicelli dishes. A few curries
have been added, but don’t expect a genuine Thai meal here – the food is
extremely Americanized. and their
elaborate drink menu seems to have taken on a life of its own. You can stroll in and order one of their
delicious bubble teas, or grab a treat from the bakery case. Yes, I said bakery case. My Thai has a great selection of VEGAN CAKES! Hallelujah!
Sadly, the service here isn’t always the greatest. I’ve had to repeatedly ask for a drink
that I ordered before my meal (on one occasion, never receiving it), among
other mishaps. 7/28/07 Tel: 617-739-1899 Website: www.new-england-soup-factory.com Hours: Mon-Fri 10:30am-9pm, Sat

is simple yet tasty. The “Vegetarian
& Tofu Entrée” section of their menu gives vegans plenty of options, such
as Lemongrass Tofu, Curry Tofu, and the old stand-by, Vegetarian Delight. Diners at Pho
Lemongrass may also ‘create’ their own stir-fry, giving you the option to add
tofu to the Chef’s brown sauce and the vegetables of your choice. My fried Lisa says that the appetizer of
summer rolls with tofu instead of meat is one of her “most favorite things ever”. This place came highly recommended to me,
and for good reason. Voted “Best of
Boston” in 2001 and 2002, this casual but classy restaurant is sure to please
without breaking the budget. Rami’s Tel: 617-738-3577 Website: n/a Hours: Sun-Thurs My Rating: ***** Review: Located in Coolidge Corner, Rami’s all kosher menu has plenty of vegan options. Their falafel is the best I’ve had since

me about this place, which is located right in Coolidge Corner. It mixes Northern and Southern Indian cuisine,
and the results are pretty delicious.
As their menu states, many of their vegetarian dishes can be made
vegan (just ask). The atmosphere here
is great – perfect for a nice night out or a date, but it’s not too expensive
for those that are on a budget. You

Pizza & Café offers up an assortment of pizza, pasta dishes, dinner platters,

roll-up here is probably one of the worst I’ve ever had, there are plenty of
other vegan options on the menu. If
